Welcome!

Welcome to my blog - it's like a diary only better. This is my soapbox containing a collection of my thoughts and the experiences of my life raising twins.

Prior to this blog, prior to marriage and prior to the twinsanity that I now call my life, life was quite different for me. When you visit this blog, you won’t find me writing much about my life pre-twins – I hope that’s okay. Why? You ask. Because life with twins changes everything and my life pre-multiples is now just a dizzy, distant memory. And while it’s true that life years ago may have been a little more glamorous, the life I live now is a whole lot more rewarding and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I’m glad you’ve stopped by...there’s a really strong chance that I won’t offer anything extraordinary here, but by the same token there is also the possibility that you will experience a taste of the adventures, challenges and many joys that come with my life with twins. Hopefully that will be enough to bring you back here again.

Visiting with Momo & Poppa from New York - An Afternoon in Amador County

Visiting with Momo & Poppa from New York - San Francisco

We spent our day enjoying some sights and tastes of San Francisco with Momo & Poppa:

We then spent our first night visiting with Momo and Poppa in San Francisco at our favorite family-style restaurant - Buca di Bepo! A few photos from the night, most of the pictures taken well before the wine was flowing generously...

Virginia Trip - "The Blizzard of 2010" Leaves Us Snowed In

A glimpse at the snowfall outside our hotel where we were stranded for 48 hours.

Paige enjoying the snowpocalypse of 2010 in Virginia!

On our snowy walk in the Blizzard of 2010 in Virginia.

Stranded at the hotel meant breakfast, lunch, and dinner happened at the same restaurant. After 48 hours of being snowed in, we were all ready for a new venue and menu for our meals.

Virginia Trip - Slumber Parties at Momo and Poppa's House

There were slumber parties every night at Momo and Poppa's house with cousin Courtney. It was so cute to have the three little cousins together for a week watching them play and interact. All 3 of the girls are roughly the same age, with Courtney being just 4 days older than Paige and Taylor. All 3 of the girls were born preemies and faced many difficult months in the NICU immediately after they were born. Today, it's such a miracle to see all 3 of them so happy and thriving!

Bedtime stories at Momo and Poppa's house.

It's just not a slumber party if there aren't lots of Barbies!

After much partying, then came the slumbering, at long last.

Virginia Trip - Visiting the Llamas Farm

Feeding the llamas carrots.
Momo feeding carrots to the llamas with Taylor and Courtney.
No lie. Llama farmers (shown above) are crazy. Just sayin'...they're crazy!
These llamas were twins, so naturally they liked us!
Taylor grabs a handful of crackers to feed the llamas.
Momo playing among the llamas with Paige and Courtney.
Twin toddlers. Twin llamas.
I didn't expect to have to backhand a llama, but this white one was very aggressive towards Paige.
