A moment of reflection...
The twins are in full fledged toddler mode, romping around the house, getting into everything and somedays all mommy and daddy want to do is maintain some sort of normalcy and calm in our daily lives.
On this my 6th wedding anniversary, I can't help but ponder all things that love, life and marriage have yielded me in just 6 short years: a cross-country move from the East Coast to the West Coast, a pregnancy whereby we thought we might venture into parenting as the majority of parents do with just one child at a time, but lo and behold, we got two and the double blessings (and sometimes torment) that being a multiples mom brings on a daily basis! Wow, celebrating my 6th wedding anniversary...a coast to coast move, twinsanity that comes with life with twins...who knew a couple young fools in love and the blessings of life would bring me all this and more!
And now, a special note just for my wonderful husband:
Mike, if you are still holding on to the fantasy that our lives will somehow return to how it was before we had twins, well, I think we've both come to the conclusion at this point in our journey of twin parenting, that's not going to happen anytime soon. I am thankful that you are my partner on this journey and that we've multiplied our energy just as we multiplied our children...we've done a pretty good job of maintaining some semblance of sanity, granted in our case it's called twinsanity, but I wouldn't have it any other way and wouldn't have wished for it with anyone other than you!
Here's to many more years of love, life and marriage. If these first 6 years have been this exciting and adventurous, I can only imagine what the remaining years must have in store for us. Happy Anniversary!
