The twins and I admire their first catch from the Shenandoah River.
Paige and Taylor were just too cute as they attempted to cast their own fishing lines in the river, sat and watched curiously as their poppa would put the bait on the hooks and as they reeled in their lines. The only sad element to the entire day was that their daddy wasn't there to be apart of this "first" for the girls. Mike, who absolutely adores fishing himself, was already back on the West Coast; but for his sake, I made sure to take tons and tons of photos for him so he could see just what stellar little fishers his girls made. They made their daddy proud, no doubt! You will find these photos featured in the lead slide show at the top of the web site - ENJOY!Oh, and one last thing - a disclaimer, if you will - I am soooooo NOT the bohemian, gypsy, earthy, tree-hugging looking girl that these photos would suggest. It was hot as heck sitting along the river's edge in the mid-day sun and that bandana was a must-do to keep the sweat from rolling in my eyes. Ha, ha, ha.
