Winter continues. Cabin fever continues. Colds for Paige and Taylor continue keeping all of us indoors. There are a few perks to being home-bound however, including the opportunities for Paige and Taylor to run around the house all day in their "big girl" underwear and use the "big girl" potty ALOT. Too many times, we have committments outside of the house (doctor appointments, weekly therapy appointments, etc.) that require significant drive time and therefore out of necessity the twins have to spend some time in diapers on those days. So, in that respect being stuck at home has been a blessing in disguise this week. Another perk, catching some random moments and photo opportunities of Paige and Taylor playing, interacting and learning about their world as only 3-year olds do.
For example, today, the 3 of us sat at the slider door for probably a good 30 minutes or so watching an inchworm make its way across the back patio. We talked about where the worm was going...Paige said, "it's going to the pet store". We talked about how the worm was moving...Taylor said, "it's trying to stand up" while Paige noted, "it's going really slow." As time went by, Paige and Taylor got the idea of bringing over some of their "friends" so that they too could see the inchworm hence the photos showing several little stuffed animals and dolls scattered in between Paige and Taylor. I must say, this was a very sweet moment for me; and I really enjoyed hearing my girls talk about the inchworm and hearing them explain to me and their dolls what that little inchworm was doing and where it was going....
Welcome!
Welcome to my blog - it's like a diary only better. This is my soapbox containing a collection of my thoughts and the experiences of my life raising twins.
Prior to this blog, prior to marriage and prior to the twinsanity that I now call my life, life was quite different for me. When you visit this blog, you won’t find me writing much about my life pre-twins – I hope that’s okay. Why? You ask. Because life with twins changes everything and my life pre-multiples is now just a dizzy, distant memory. And while it’s true that life years ago may have been a little more glamorous, the life I live now is a whole lot more rewarding and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I’m glad you’ve stopped by...there’s a really strong chance that I won’t offer anything extraordinary here, but by the same token there is also the possibility that you will experience a taste of the adventures, challenges and many joys that come with my life with twins. Hopefully that will be enough to bring you back here again.
