Welcome!

Welcome to my blog - it's like a diary only better. This is my soapbox containing a collection of my thoughts and the experiences of my life raising twins.

Prior to this blog, prior to marriage and prior to the twinsanity that I now call my life, life was quite different for me. When you visit this blog, you won’t find me writing much about my life pre-twins – I hope that’s okay. Why? You ask. Because life with twins changes everything and my life pre-multiples is now just a dizzy, distant memory. And while it’s true that life years ago may have been a little more glamorous, the life I live now is a whole lot more rewarding and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I’m glad you’ve stopped by...there’s a really strong chance that I won’t offer anything extraordinary here, but by the same token there is also the possibility that you will experience a taste of the adventures, challenges and many joys that come with my life with twins. Hopefully that will be enough to bring you back here again.

3-Years Old?! Holy Cow!

Holy cow, I can't believe it, 3 years ago, exactly one week from today – December 11 - I was about to meet, for the first time, two precious little twin girls whom my husband and I had hoped for, dreamed for and prayed for many months!

My sweet Taylor Mackenzie made her appearance at 9:05 AM with her sweet sister Paige Trinity coming right after at 9:06 AM.

It was a Sunday morning and it was the culmination of 6 long, agonizing weeks of hospital bed rest, continuous 24/7 heartbeat monitoring sessions, and multiple injections of terbutaline to prevent and delay pre-term labor to give those little babies one more minute, one more hour, one more day to grow inside me.

Looking ahead to next week, we are keeping the actual birthday very, very, very low-key for the twins this year since their birthday was celebrated a little early with a family vacation to Disneyland this last weekend. Disneyland was their birthday present this year. And, what a way to celebrate turning 3, wouldn’t you agree?!

Thank you to all of our friends, family as well as incredible doctors and specialists these last couple of years – we couldn't have done it with out you! Now, I am off to go love on my two perfect babies!
