Welcome!

Welcome to my blog - it's like a diary only better. This is my soapbox containing a collection of my thoughts and the experiences of my life raising twins.

Prior to this blog, prior to marriage and prior to the twinsanity that I now call my life, life was quite different for me. When you visit this blog, you won’t find me writing much about my life pre-twins – I hope that’s okay. Why? You ask. Because life with twins changes everything and my life pre-multiples is now just a dizzy, distant memory. And while it’s true that life years ago may have been a little more glamorous, the life I live now is a whole lot more rewarding and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I’m glad you’ve stopped by...there’s a really strong chance that I won’t offer anything extraordinary here, but by the same token there is also the possibility that you will experience a taste of the adventures, challenges and many joys that come with my life with twins. Hopefully that will be enough to bring you back here again.

Getting Sick, Runny Noses, Fever, Dry Cough

It is 8:00 PM and both girls have just gone to bed...that's pretty early for a Friday night around our house, especially when considering just last night they were up to 10:00 PM. Unfortunately, both girls seem to be getting sick and therefore have pretty much felt like doing absolutely nothing. Snot has been flowing generously all day between both girls, Paige has been running a slight fever and a dry cough just made its appearance about an hour ago. Fortunately, I have a Rx from the twins' pediatrician to help combat the night-time cough and I used it tonight with both girls at bedtime so hopefully they will sleep well and peacefully and won't be hacking all night long. I also am alternating doses of Children's Tylenol and Children's Motrin every 4 hours to combat Paige's fever, per the pediatrician's recommendation. Poor girls.

And this is pretty much how they were feeling today...

Paige, at one point, was having the chills so I bundled her up in an extra sweatshirt and blanket.

Taylor, other than a runny nose and the onset of a dry cough this evening, is faring better than Paige; but Taylor wouldn't leave Paige's side as she sat on the couch snuggled in her warm blanket.

Paige, staying warm under her blanket, watching a sing-along on t.v.

Even the girls' puppy Tukker took advantage of the down-time this evening and curled up quietly next to Paige and Taylor.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be a healthier day for Paige and Taylor and hopefully they'll be back to their spunky little selves sooner rather than later.
