Welcome!

Welcome to my blog - it's like a diary only better. This is my soapbox containing a collection of my thoughts and the experiences of my life raising twins.

Prior to this blog, prior to marriage and prior to the twinsanity that I now call my life, life was quite different for me. When you visit this blog, you won’t find me writing much about my life pre-twins – I hope that’s okay. Why? You ask. Because life with twins changes everything and my life pre-multiples is now just a dizzy, distant memory. And while it’s true that life years ago may have been a little more glamorous, the life I live now is a whole lot more rewarding and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I’m glad you’ve stopped by...there’s a really strong chance that I won’t offer anything extraordinary here, but by the same token there is also the possibility that you will experience a taste of the adventures, challenges and many joys that come with my life with twins. Hopefully that will be enough to bring you back here again.

Be Nice. No Biting. No Pushing.

The twins were at their finest today. They spent a lot of time today pushing, hitting, biting, and taking things away from each other.

I, in turn, spent most of the day saying “no biting”, “no pushing”, “no hitting” each time and then comforting the one bitten, pushed or hit.

Paige can be pretty aggressive at times, and today she was biting Taylor ALOT. At first, it just seemed to be when Paige was frustrated or wanted a toy that Taylor had but as the day went on, it seemed to become more of a game to Paige. When I would tell her “no biting” and “be nice” she would laugh a devilish little laugh.

I caught two of the times when Paige was sinking her teeth into Taylor’s arm. At the end of the day today, I counted a total of 5 bite marks on Taylor's arm meaning that Paige managed to sneak in at least 3 bites that I didn't end up catching while in the act. I took a couple of photos to show just how bad Paige had bitten Taylor. Funny thing, however, is that Paige is in many ways a better behaved, more compliant child than Taylor, but this biting thing today was driving me crazy and was definitely a test of my patience.
